Introducing the New Tornado X Arms
The Tornado X Arms are the latest evolution of the Get RX'd Tornado Arm System, bringing even more versatility, strength, and performance to the RX3 ecosystem. Building on everything users already love about the original Tornado Arms, the Tornado X introduces an all-new Dual Ratio System that allows you to switch between 2:1 and 1:1 cable ratios in seconds.
Whether your goal is explosive athletic movements, bodybuilding, strength training, or functional fitness, the Tornado X Arms adapt to the way you train. They deliver smooth cable movement when you want speed and precision, while also unlocking the full weight stack whenever maximum resistance is required. Combined with improved cable tracking, a true-center line of pull, and a self-righting design, the Tornado X represents the most advanced articulating cable arm system we've ever built.
What makes the Tornado X different?
The Tornado X Arms were designed to solve a simple problem: no single cable ratio is ideal for every exercise. Traditional functional trainers typically use a 2:1 ratio for smoother movement and longer cable travel, while many strength exercises benefit from a direct 1:1 ratio that lets you use the full weight stack. Instead of forcing you to choose one or the other, the Tornado X gives you both.
This flexibility makes the Tornado X equally at home during heavy lat pulldowns, controlled cable flys, explosive athletic work, low rows, rehabilitation exercises, and belt squats. The Tornado X expands your RX3 Tornado setup capabilities, giving you more ways to train without compromising the smooth adjustment experience that Tornado users already expect.
Dual 2:1 & 1:1 weight ratios
The biggest innovation of the Tornado X Arms is the ability to switch instantly between 2:1 and 1:1 weight ratios. Instead of changing pulleys or rebuilding the system, you simply move your cable attachment between the two connection points. The transition takes only seconds, allowing you to adapt your setup to each exercise without interrupting your workout.
In 2:1 mode, each side provides longer cable travel, smoother movement, and 5 lb weight increments, making it ideal for functional training, rehabilitation, explosive movements, and exercises where a longer range of motion is beneficial. For heavier pulling exercises requiring more than 100 lbs of resistance, both arms can be connected together at the center to utilize the complete resistance available in 2:1 mode.
When maximum resistance is needed, switching to 1:1 mode unlocks the full weight stack on a single upright, allowing you to perform demanding exercises such as lat pulldowns and low rows without any reduction in felt resistance.

Full stack resistance when you need it
One of the most requested features from experienced lifters has been the ability to use the entire weight stack without mechanical reduction. The Tornado X Arms make this possible through their dedicated 1:1 mode, where 200 lbs on the stack equals 200 lbs of resistance at the handle.
This makes a noticeable difference during strength-focused movements such as lat pulldowns, seated rows, and belt squats, where heavier loading is often required for continued progression. For users training with dual weight stacks, combining the 1:1 ratio from both Tornado X Arms opens the door to more than 400 lbs of total resistance, with even greater capacity available when using our plate-loading weight stack pins.
Instead of limiting the system to functional training, the Tornado X transforms your RX3 into a machine capable of serious strength development while maintaining the versatility of a premium cable trainer.
Improved cable tracking & smoothness
The Tornado X Arms also introduce a redesigned arm geometry that further improves cable performance throughout the full range of motion. The previous front roller has been replaced by a front-end pulley, allowing the cable to remain better aligned as the arm changes angles. Combined with the new swivel shackle, this produces smoother cable travel while reducing unnecessary cable twisting.
These engineering improvements are immediately noticeable during everyday training. Cable movement feels more consistent, transitions between exercises become smoother, and the overall experience is quieter and more refined. Whether you're performing cable flys, rows, curls, triceps extensions, or rotational movements, the Tornado X maintains consistent tension while minimizing friction across the system.

True-center line of pull
A unique advantage of the Tornado X Arms is their True-Center Line of Pull. Unlike many articulating cable systems where the cable path sits offset from the center of the upright, the Tornado X aligns the resistance directly with your body during key pulling exercises.
This centered cable path creates a more balanced feel during both lat pulldowns and low rows, helping maintain symmetrical loading from start to finish. Because the resistance stays centered, movements feel more natural and controlled, allowing you to focus on proper technique instead of compensating for an off-center cable path.
The Tornado X also allows true low rows to be performed directly from a single upright without requiring additional pulley attachments. This streamlined setup makes switching between exercises faster while preserving the direct resistance that strength athletes expect.

Self-righting design
The Tornado X Arms are engineered with a self-righting design that automatically returns the arm to its proper orientation when cable tension is released. Instead of freely spinning or twisting after each repetition, the arm naturally settles back into position, helping maintain proper cable alignment throughout your workout.
This seemingly small improvement provides meaningful long-term benefits. Better cable alignment helps reduce unnecessary cable twisting, keeps exercise setup more consistent, and creates a smoother user experience during high-volume training sessions. Whether you're moving quickly through supersets or frequently changing exercise positions, the Tornado X remains properly aligned and ready for the next movement without constant repositioning.
Compatible with every RX3 Tornado setup
The Tornado X Arms were designed to integrate seamlessly into the entire Tornado ecosystem. They are fully compatible with both the original Tornado trolley and the Tornado Trolley 2.0, allowing existing owners to upgrade without replacing their entire system.
If you already own the original Tornado Arms, you can upgrade directly to Tornado X while keeping your current trolley. If you've already upgraded to Tornado Trolley 2.0, the Tornado X retrofit kit installs on top of the newer trolley, allowing you to enjoy the smoother glide of the 2.0 system together with the advanced Dual Ratio capabilities of Tornado X.
This modular approach lets every customer choose the configuration that best matches their budget, training style, and future upgrade plans while protecting their existing investment in the RX3 ecosystem.
